Since opening its doors in 1974, Danville Child Development Center has become a leading accredited child care provider in the Central Susquehanna Valley. With a highly trained and experienced staff of employees, state-of-the-art educational facilities and multiple programs offered to children of all ages, the Danville Child Development Center focuses on enriching the lives of the area’s youth and their families, while providing high quality early learning experiences.

School Age Care for Kids (SACK)

School age children from Kindergarten until their thirteenth birthday find safety, supervision, and interesting games and educational activities at our SACK program. We provide care before and after school, during delays and cancellations, as well as vacation days and summer break. Transportation to and from school is available during the school year. Child Care Information Services (CCIS) of Columbia, Montour & Northumberland Counties assist families in the area with finding and paying for quality child care programs. CCIS offers: Customized computer searches to find certified child care providers who can meet your family’s needs. Information on what to look for when choosing quality childcare. Montour County Advocates for Children (LEARN)

The Local Education and Resource Network (LEARN) is a community based group of people who engage in and are committed to promoting and educating the public about the benefits of quality early childhood and school-age care and education. This group can consist of early learning programs, family members, school district officials, school board members, teachers and other school personnel, policy makers and staff, business and civic leaders, media, public and private foundations, faith-based community representatives from family or child serving organizations and anyone who is interested in supporting early and school-age care and education!
