Happy 38th Birthday DCDC!

Happy 38th Birthday DCDC!

In 1974 Nancy Vella and Kathleen Mulligan had a vision and they planted a seed.  A child care center was opened in the educational building of the Shiloh Church in Danville with 6 children and 2 staff members.  The hope was that all children, regardless of economic background or developmental level, could grow and play together.

Now, 38 years and thousands of families and children later, Danville Child Development Center continues to be an integral part of the community, and continues to grow!  The opening of the new site on Bloom Road is a testament to the importance of early childhood education as our children prepare to take their place as leaders in the community.

Congratulations to all the staff, families, children, community businesses and organizations that have made DCDC what it is today!
