Accreditations & Awards

Danville Child Development Center continually strives to provide the best in child care and education. To do this, we have achieved and maintained the following accreditation and awards.

Keystone Stars Program Participant (2002-Present)

Keystone Stars LogoKeystone Stars is a quality improvement program that recognizes child care providers who exceed state health and safety licensing requirements. The quality performance standards in each level are research based and linked to improved outcomes for children. The Department of Human Services (DHS), child care providers, advocates, and researchers developed the program standards, which are categorized into areas that are known to affect the quality of care: Staff Education, Learning Environment, and Administration. Keystone Stars helps to provide quality environments for children that will contribute to social and emotional development, learning skills, and school readiness. In addition, Keystone Stars provides families with a valuable tool to assess the quality of their child care provider.

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation

(2000-Present) at Main Campus, (2016-Present) Bloom Rd

The NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation administers a national, voluntary accreditation system to help raise the quality of all types of preschools, kindergartens, and child care centers. Currently there are more than 9,000 NAEYC-accredited programs, serving more than 800,000 children and their families. Since the system began in 1985, NAEYC accreditation has provided a powerful tool through which early childhood professionals, families, and others concerned about the quality of early childhood education can evaluate programs, compare them with professional standards, strengthen the program, and commit to ongoing evaluation and improvement.
